Cheeseman Lake (6842 ft) was closed to the public following the Hayman fire in 2002 and re-opened in June of 2007. The Hayman fire has gone down in history as the largest fire in Colorado History. It had consumed 137,760 acres, 600 structures and as cost $39,100,000 to date.
